The fine print, kept simple.

1. Welcome to Dawnli

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Dawnli mobile application ("Dawnli", "the app"). By installing or using Dawnli, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Dawnli is a private, offline-first mood tracker. It does not require an account, does not send your entries to a server, and works without an internet connection for its core features.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dawnli. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should use Dawnli with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Your account-free experience

Dawnli has no sign-up, no email collection, and no password. The "name" you provide during onboarding is stored only on your device and is used to greet you inside the app. Because there is no account, there is nothing to recover or reset from our side if you uninstall the app.

4. Free tier and Premium

4.1 Free tier

The Free tier is available to everyone at no cost and includes:

• Unlimited mood logging across all 5 mood states
• 30 preloaded activity tags plus up to 5 custom tags
• Mood notes up to 333 characters and one photo per entry
• The last 7 days of history visible in the feed, calendar, and chart
• Backdating entries up to 7 days in the past
• 2 color themes (Dawn + Ocean) and 2 font options (Dawn + Round)
• Streak tracking, biometric / PIN app lock, and up to 2 daily reminders

4.2 Premium plans

Premium unlocks additional features and removes the 7-day limits. Plans:

• Monthly - $1.99 / month
• Annual - $14.99 / year, with a 7-day free trial
• Lifetime - $34.99 one-time payment

Premium includes unlimited history, all 6 themes and 5 fonts, up to 20 custom tags, unlimited notes and backdating, 30D / 90D / 1Y chart views, Year in Pixels, activity correlations and day-of-week insights, weekly digest, unlimited reminders, CSV / JSON export, cloud backup (iCloud or Google Drive), and custom mood labels.

4.3 Billing and renewal

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription from your device's subscription settings. We do not handle or store your payment details.

4.4 Free trial

The 7-day free trial on the Annual plan is available once per Apple / Google account. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the Annual plan will begin and you will be charged accordingly.

4.5 Refunds

All refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.

4.6 Restoring purchases

If you reinstall Dawnli or move to a new device, use "Restore purchases" on the Paywall screen to re-enable your Premium entitlement.

5. Your content and data

Mood entries, notes, photos, tags, and any other content you create in Dawnli ("Your Content") belong to you. Because Your Content is stored only on your device (and, if you enable it, your personal iCloud or Google Drive account), we have no claim over it and no ability to view it.

You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for managing any backups of Your Content that you choose to create.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Dawnli app beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Use the app to store unlawful content, or to harass, defame, or harm others.
• Circumvent the Free / Premium entitlement system or attempt to access paid features without a valid purchase.
• Redistribute or resell the app or any part of it.

7. Not a medical device

Dawnli can help you notice patterns in how you feel, but it is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are struggling, please consider reaching out to a qualified clinician or a local crisis service.

8. Intellectual property

The Dawnli name, logo, app design, source code, illustrations, and content are owned by the app's developer and protected by copyright and trademark law. Your license to use the app is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable if you materially breach these Terms.

9. Third-party services

Dawnli uses Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat for in-app purchases. Optional cloud backup uses your personal iCloud or Google Drive account. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Dawnli is not responsible for third-party services beyond our integration with them.

10. Disclaimers

Dawnli is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from data loss. Always keep your own backups of content that matters to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Dawnli developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the app. The total liability for any claim relating to Dawnli is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you did not pay anything.

12. Termination

You may stop using Dawnli at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate the app, or specific features, for reasons including changes to platform requirements, security, or discontinuation. If we discontinue Dawnli, we will attempt to give reasonable notice and ensure Premium users can export their data beforehand.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, display a notice in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Dawnli developer operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will continue in full effect.
